The short answer: photo enhancing. While every photographer works their one way to perfect a captured image, personally, I like to edit photos by polishing the beauty of my subjects and still retaining their natural skin tones and textures. This is a meticulous & detailed process which can take the photographer some time to complete. Here's an example of a photo before & after it was edited.
